The Portrait Experience is a bespoke photography session that combines a touch of pampering with expert guidance, creating portraits that truly reflect the person. It offers someone the rare opportunity to feel confident, cared for, guided, and completely at ease in front of the camera.

This is not about dramatic transformation or forced confidence. It’s about creating space for someone to relax, enjoy the experience, and have their personality naturally captured, supported by calm expertise every step of the way.

The experience starts well before the shoot day itself

Through a series of relaxed pre-shoot video consultations, I guide my client through every element of the session: from exploring how they’d like to be photographed, to selecting outfits, locations, and visual style. Whether the final images feel classic, understated, expressive, or quietly glamorous, every decision is made with intention to reflect their personality and style.

This preparation allows the shoot itself to feel unhurried, calm, and completely enjoyable.

The shoot day

On the day of the session, they’ll be looked after from start to finish.

Professional hair and make-up is included, giving a chance to relax and settle into the experience while feeling polished and cared for: without feeling overdone or unlike themselves.

During the shoot, my approach is calm and fully guided. From subtle posing to natural movement, I provide clear direction throughout, creating an atmosphere where my client can feel confident, comfortable, and fully supported.

Sessions can take place in the studio, at home, or on location — depending on what the individual would like.

Pre-shoot consultation with me to discuss and agree styles, looks, environment, props, backdrops, location.
Pre-shoot consultation with your hair and make up artist to agree complimentary looks based on the style of your shoot.
1 & 1/2 hours of make up and hair styling on shoot day.
2 hour shoot at the agreed location (longer if it needs to be).
Time allows for 4-5 outfits.
In-person gallery review to select your images with me.
20 high resolution digital files of your choice, supplied in different file formats for social media, printing and web use.
